Thekua Recipe – Prasad for Teej

Thekua is a popular dish in eastern India and is often made as a prasad offered to God on different festivals including teej.

  1. Add jaggery or gud in warm water.
  2. Add ghee and sauf to atta and mix well.
  3. Add gud mixture to atta and mix well.
  4. Make a dough which is not very hard.
  5. Make small balls of dough
  6. Add these balls to a mold
  7. Use the mold and give it a shape of thekua.
  8. Heat ghee in kadai.
  9. Add these thekua to hot ghee.
  10. Cook thekua till it turns golden brown in color.
  11. Thekua is ready to serve.
