Crab Cake Sandwich Recipe

Crab cake sandwich I very popular in the United States. It usually comprises of crab meat and different other ingredients like bread crumbs, milk, mayonnaise, eggs and different kind of seasonings. The cake can then be boiled, grilled or broiled as per one’s preference. It is then served by placing between slices of bread or buns.

  1. For Paprika Mayonnaise, in a big bowl. We need to combine mayonnaise, green onions, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne and then season with salt and pepper.
  2. For Crab Cakes, in a bowl, we need to combine whole crab, mayonnaise, chopped chives, breadcrumbs, egg, melted butter, lemon juice, mustard, pepper sauce.
  3. Then we need to season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  4. Shape into 5 patties.
  5. Then we have to refrigerate the mixture.
  6. Now in a cast iron skillet kept on medium heat, fry the crab cakes in oil for about 3 minutes on each side until they are brown.
  7. After frying the crab cakes, immediately put them on bed of lettuce.
  8. For Sandwiches, slice the rolls into half onto a clean surface.
  9. Spread mayonnaise on the rolls.
  10. Place 1 lettuce leaf and 1 crab cake on the bottom half of each roll.
  11. Garnish it with tomato and avocado.
  12. Season with salt and pepper.
  13. Cover the rolls with their top-halves.
