Butter
1 1/2 cup
White Sugar
1 cup
Buttermilk
3 tbsp
all purpose flour
1 tbsp
Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Use aluminium foil to keep food moist and to cook it evenly.

  1. The oven should be preheated to 350 degree Celsius.
  2. Beat the eggs till they start foaming.
  3. Add butter, sugar and flour to the eggs and beat until the mixture becomes smooth.
  4. The entire mixture is then beaten with the Vanilla Extract.
  5. Stir the mixture obtained in buttermilk, lemon juice and nutmeg.
  6. Pour the mixture into a deep pie shell.
  7. Bake the mixture for about 10 minutes at 400 F, then reduce the heat to 350 F and bake again for another 50-60 minutes.
  8. The pie is baked till the center becomes firm.
  9. Allow to cool for one hour before serving.
